On Wednesday 11 May 2016, South African Breweries Central Region continued with their mission to alleviate drought stricken areas by delivering more than 20,000 litres of water to the drought stricken Soutpan  and Ikgomotseng township in the Free State.

Water was distributed to Ikgomotseng Clinic, Kagisano Combined School, Thlabologo Day Care, Thlabologo Luncheon Club for the elderly and Siesta Woonstelle. Some of the water was also delivered at the local municipal offices for distribution to the rest of the community.

Pieter Mokgosi, Unit Manager for the Masilonyana Local Municipality, said that the area still have some water left, but that the water quality is not up to standard and not really suitable for human consumption. He also continued to say that the SAB Drought Relief Project would for certain make a massive difference in the lives of the Soutpan and Ikgomotseng communities.
