Binder’s race to MotoGP glory – now on SuperSport
Johannesburg, November 19 – Motorsport fans can settle in for a dose of high-octane action, and much more, when SuperSport broadcasts Red Bull’s acclaimed film “Brad Binder: Becoming 33” at 8pm on Friday night (SS Motorsport).
The film tells the remarkable story of Binder’s rise from the ranks of MotoGP 3, where he became world champion, and MotoGP 2 to factory racer at Red Bull KTM Racing.
Under the guidance of Red Bull KTM’s Aki Ajo, Binder took five wins in the 2019 season to claim his place at the summit of MotoGP, taking on a new race number of 33 to echo his initials.
The MotoGP rookie then exploded onto the scene in March, claiming a historic victory in the third round of the season in the Czech Republic.
Packed with footage from his early years and interviews with his parents, brother (and Moto3 sensation) Darryn, and other key figures, it’s a feel-good story that reflects the virtues of hard work, talent and sacrifice.
Says renowned MotoGP commentator Matt Birt: “When Brad is in full flow it is spectacular to watch. Poetry in motion, one of the greatest sights you will see across all of MotoGP.”
